I am super happy to share a couple of my favorite photos from an engagement shoot this weekend. Debra and Derik were visiting South Florida and staying at the amazing Fontainbleau Hotel on Miami Beach. Our plan was to wake up early and do a sunrise engagement photo shoot on the beach. We had been having our typical amazing spring weather so we thought we would have a golden sunrise over the ocean. Well, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate with us and it was gloomy, gray, windy and wet! This is a perfect example that “bad” weather can still make really great photos. Debra and Derik had such great attitudes and we snapped these up between the sprinkles and under a shelter!! Congrats to the happy couple and I hope you have an AMAZING wedding in Boston!!

jacqueline’s sobe hallow 2009
I am finally doing it! It has been two years since my faces photo project in 2007 where I shot glorious freaks and beautiful creatures on Lincoln Road during Halloween. Check out the Street Life section on my site for some images from that project.
This year I am going high-end. I’ve rented out the Lincoln Theater on Lincoln Road (yes, that amazing art deco building that is home to the New World Symphony) and from 8pm to 1am we are inviting costumed revelers into our makeshift studio for high-end fashion portraiture.
Everyone who gets their photo taken for the coffee book will receive a free 8×10 print in the mail.
So get dressed up. Get silly. Find every freak, drag queen, muscle boy, hot mama, costumed pup, … and make sure you stop by the Lincoln Theater Halloween night!
